New DFI Committees

The Drone Federation of India is onboarding new committees and establishing committees to form a stronger, democratic, unified voice for the industry.

Please find the committee details below and signup if you would like to contribute:

1. UAS Policy Advocacy Committee (PAC0001)
Objective: Streamline regulatory challenges and create future proof regulatory recommendations to operationalize more and more use cases for the drone industry.
Requirement: Looking for companies who want to work towards streamlining regulations while addressing the concerns of the regulatory bodies and security agencies in an incremental fashion. Committing to this cause would require time and effort from your side on a weekly basis.

2. UAS Use Advocacy Committee (UAC0001)
Objective: Promote, advocate, and educate drone usage across different public and private sector enterprises.
Requirement: Looking for companies who want to work towards promoting drone use cases in an unbiased approach for the drone industry as a whole. Committing to this cause would require time and effort from your side on a bi-weekly basis.

3. UAS Standardisation Advocacy Committee (SAC0001)
Objective: Objectives of this committee are to establish standards in the field of unmanned aerial systems including, but not limited to designing, manufacturing, airworthiness, operations, safety management.
Requirement: Looking for companies who want to work towards creating certification standards with different national and international certification agencies. Committing to this cause would require time and effort from your side on a monthly basis.

4. UAS Training and Cert. Advocacy Committee (TCAC0001)
Objective: Objectives of this committee are to establish minimum flight training standards, conduct educational boot camps, and promote overall skill development in the drone industry.
Requirement: Looking for FTOs, training companies who wish to work with each other, and create nationally harmonized training courses while following minimum standardsCommitting to this cause would require time and effort from your side on a monthly basis.

5. UAS R&D and Academia Committee (RAC0001)
Objective: Objectives of this committee are to promote research and innovation for advanced technologies including but not limited to Detect and Avoid, UAS Communications, Human Risk Factors, UTM Systems, etc. and raising funds for research of the same.
Requirement: We are looking for industry and academic participants to work actively with this committee on a weekly basis.

FAQs

What if I am not a member of any committee?
Don’t worry, you can still be a part of the Members Assembly. Being a DFI Member gives you the ‘Right to Vote’ on all recommendations of various committees. You can choose to oppose a particular recommendation of the committee and provide appropriate reasons for the same if you do not agree to the same. The committee and the working groups will make sure all suggestions are worked upon.

What if I am not a DFI member?
Don’t worry, you can still have access to the DFI recommendations on our website once they are finalized and published on our website.
